Maximum Security!

So i don’t know how many of you have heard of this little science fiction movie that is sneaking in our way this spring – April 20th 2012 to be exact.

Initially called MSOne:Maximum Security is now titled LockOut. The movie boast a tiny budget of 30 million compared to the many other action/sci fi that usually span around 100-200 million range.

From the teaser trailers, the 30 million really starts to show, the sfx look kind of bland but they made it look a little better with the theatrical trailer. The whole shebang of this thing is that a maximum security prison IN SPACE gets overrun by its prisoners(really, you saw this coming)

It stars Guy Pearce(one of my favourite actors as he can bring out sullenness in everything from wit to ass-kicking) as a government special agent blamed for a crime that he(obviously) did not commit. Since he’s just such a bad-ass(because its part of the script and well you know what they’re going to do next)

To get himself off the hook that is hanging on his name and gain his freedom, he has to go MS One prison orbiting the Earth( so he literally moves from the normal prison he was hanging around in to prison hell) and rescue the President’s daughter(Maggie Grace)who works as a psychologist/therapist stranded there(Coz all presidents daughters want to be psychologist for the criminally outta-their-minds-already—I mean c’mon am I the only who can see the crap coming out of this bull?)

And then you see whose who wrote the story and producing it: LUC BESSON.
So at least we’re getting lots of intense action and awesome cheesy one-liners–so Bring it April!!
