Some More of E3 that got us Excited

Here is a few games we thought were good at E3 and are worth your time to look at as well

Star Wars: 1313

LucasArts pulled Jedi tricks on us when they revealed this super secret project at E3, and man did that get me excited. As a fan of the franchise like many, I almost came to the point where I was about to give up at LucasArts.

Then they pull this one out. Boasting next-gen feel, honestly, this looked more like a cut scene than a game play level. Nvidia was working closely on this project.

The plot takes place between the trilogies, and is set on level 1313 of the Imperial capital planet – Coruscant. Coruscant has over 5,000 levels, and 1313 (being level 1313) is a part of the planet’s underworld, a seedy place full of criminals and lawlessness. This is supposed to be a complex and mature story and you play some sort of bounty hunter.

LucasArts wants to dwell in the darker areas of the franchise and darker regions of space. It is a complicated world where they want you to question loyalties and trust, where you’re really on your own or not.¬† It is a full on mature game on the darker side of the Star Wars universe and from the game play it kind of resembles Uncharted in terms of physics and game movement.

I am excited.

Beyond: Two Souls

Remember that ”Kara” tech demo?

Well, Quantic Dreams the creators (of also Heavy Rain) showed their latest upcoming game РBeyond: Two Souls.
The trailer shows a girl modeled after Ellen Page (obviously voiced by Ellen Page also) named Jodie Holmes who had been found by the police with no recollection of who she is or where she had come from.

Oh, also she has telekinetic powers.

I’ll let the video do the talking.

Dead Space 3

Oh c’mon, you all knew this was going to happen. Especially after the ending to Dead Space 2.

In space, no one can hear you scream – well now, you have a co-op buddy to hear you!

New in this franchise is a DROP IN-DROP OUT co-op system, some people sometimes don’t get it so I’ll dumb it down for you. IT basically means when your on single player your just Issac. Want co-op? Just join in anytime and Issac will buddy with a talkative loud mouth dude called Carver. And this time not only are you in space, you’re in an ice planet like Hoth! (scream Lost Planet 3 lol) with necromorphs and other men trying to shoot up. There is also is a cover system which is pretty basic which means you cant stay in cover too long and that is good.

Here is the trailer and game play.

Resident Evil 6

Romero Zombies are back. Leon and Chris in one game. Wesker’s Son is here. Ada Wong is one of the main villains. The fear factor is back. The game has a co-op AI but one that can barely be seen on the screen if you’re playing single player(I like that). And finally the game-play looks sick!

That is all.

Spec Ops: The Line

This new title from Yager Development had a bit of a rocky start in development but now its official and the game is set to release this month. Nolan North is in this one yay!

To be honest the plot was really that got me curious. And now the gameplay has my attention. The plot follows the story of Captain Martin Walker (voiced by Nolan North!!) as he is sent into a post-catastrophe Dubai with an elite Delta Force bravo team. Previously, Dubai was a wealthy area with many high-profile citizens until catastrophic sandstorms left a majority of the city buried. This caused many to evacuate, leaving only a few behind.

A post apocalyptic scenario Dubai?!

I’m down for that because it was once a place I called home, literally. Anyway, so one of the people left behind was U.S. Army Colonel John Konrad (a reference to the author of Heart of Darkness, Joseph Conrad), a founding member of Delta Force, who refused to evacuate from a training facility in the city and instead remained behind with the men under his command to help protect the citizens that could not evacuate. After several weeks of no contact, the Army fears that Col. Konrad and his men are lost to the destruction of the city until a weak distress signal is picked up. This gives the Army reason to deploy the player and their squad, who must infiltrate the city, neutralize outlaws and survive sandstorms as they attempt to determine what happened to Konrad and his men. Through the narrative in the trailer and sound clips from the game’s website it is hinted that Konrad may not have entirely genuine motivations for remaining in Dubai against orders.
