So E3’s over now, and I felt I should do some quick blurbs on the games I’m most excited for. So here’s the top ten games I’m stoked about for from E3.

#10 — Knack

From the people who brought us Ape Escape, Shadow of the Colossus and LocoRoco comes Knack. It honestly looks like a silly platformer with slightly more plot than old Mario games. What I’m excited about is that it reminds me of one of my favourite franchises of all time, The Jak and Daxter Trilogy.

#9 — Sunset Overdrive

I really don’t know a lot about this game yet. What I do know is that it looks cool, fun and charming, and it looks like a blast to play. I was glued to the screen watching the trailer, and I’m excited to hear more (mind you, it’s for the Xbox One…)

#8 — Outlast

I’d heard about Outlast before, but since it was mentioned at E3… IT LOOKS SO SCARY AAAH!! Nothing like a good horror game, and this one seems like it could be the next Amnesia in popularity, but possibly even scarier to actually play.

#7 — Killer is Dead

It’s Suda51. My body is ready.Image

#6 — Mirror’s Edge 2

This’ll give me an excuse to finish Mirror’s Edge, a game that I loved, though I was never particularly good at it. It’s a prequel, which is always cool. Nothing like a good ol’ heritage story. Mirror’s Edge was hella fun — you felt like a badass and it was very unique. I’m really interested to see how they tweak and perfect things this time ’round.Image

#5 — Bayonetta 2

This is also an excuse to finish Bayonetta. It’s actually the exact same story as why I’m excited for Mirror’s Edge 2. I guess in a weird way they’re rather similar games.Image

#4 — Murdered: Soul Suspect

This looks like a lengthier, more open-world, more beautiful version of Ghost Trick. I’m super-excited for this game. There’s bound to be a good plot, well-written characters, awesome side quests, and hours of entertainment to come with Square Enix’s new game. I’ve heard there wasn’t actually a promo shown for this, but since I missed Sony’s conference I looked up what I missed and heard about Murdered: Soul Suspect, and I’m stoked. I mean, the name’s a creative pun! It has to be good!

#3 — The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

It looks like Nintendo’s going to be taking everything that made A Link To The Past amazing and adding to it. This will be a shout out to fans of one of the very best Zelda games, and it will also introduce newcomers to one of the greatest game franchises of all time. A new 3D world, combined with an environment we’ve loved for years. I’m also very interested to see how the new 2D walking-on-walls (for lack of a better term) gameplay will work. Hopefully their new tactics work better than their fails in Skyward Sword.Image

#2 — SouthPark: The Stick of Truth

Yeeee buddy!! I’ve been looking forward to this one for-fucking-ever! South Park is one of my favourite shows; Matt Stone and Trey Parker are two of my favourite creative minds. This actually looks like a legit fun RPG. The trailers have all been  great, and I trust Matt and Trey to make a good game. I’m also super-excited to see all my friends in SouthPark character form. Definitely the game I’m second-most excited for.Image

#1 — Transistor
I watched the fifteen-minute-long gameplay video for Transistor the other day. As if I wasn’t already freaking out that Supergiant Games were finally coming out with a follow-up to Bastion, one of my very favourite games ever. In the video they show stupendous, original, fun-as-hell-looking player footage. This game already looked great, now I know it’ll feel great to play, too. I’m excited for every part of this game — the feel, the look, the soundtrack… even the voice acting! Thank goodness for small-time production companies!!Image

I’m also  wicked-excited for Pokemon X/Y; I already have my copy pre-ordered. But they got their own press conference and everything, so it’s like my more-than-first-place at this point.
